When a client gives you money they are showing great trust.

They trust you to deliver on the promises made in your marketing and to make their life better in some way.

But something interesting happens right after they buy.

They are filled with doubt. Doubt they made the right decision. Doubt you’ll deliver. Doubt your thing will be as a good as you say it is.

So you have to take action to reinforce their good decision to buy from you.

This is where something called a stick letter becomes important.

A stick letter is something you send immediately after they buy to thank them for their purchase and reinforce why they made a good decision.

Often now it will be an email rather than a latter. But don’t discount the value of sending a real letter if you can. Hardly anyone does it therefore you stand out in a good way.

One of the most famous ‘stick emails’ was used by CD Baby back when CDs where still a common purchase. If you Google CD Baby email you’ll find it.

Now it’s great for inspiration. But your stick letter/email should reflect you so don’t just copy theirs.

Very few marketers send anything other than a purchase confirmation email.

You can really stand out by adding a stick email with personality. If you don’t know how to write one I’m happy to help.
