Have you heard of the slow idea movement?

Probably not.

As far as I know I invented it today. Possibly not though it’s a big world and people often have the same ideas.

I digress.

But first I want you to join this movement. I’ll explain why in second, first Homer.

Now Homer is famous for some very bad ideas.

But he does show us one thing.

If you take some to think you will have ideas.

You can have fast ideas, and you can have slow ideas.

My definition of a fast idea is when you need something quick and OK is OK.

A bit like a takeaway or microwave meal. It does the job but not very well.

A slow idea is more like a meal prepared and cooked by the best chef, with time and love.

It tastes better.

Leaves you satisfied and makes you want more.

A fast idea in business is something like a social media caption. You don’t need to spend a lot of time on it because hardly anyone will see it anyway!

A slow idea is how you defeat your competition.

It’s a marketing idea so powerful it may work for years, even decades.

You cannot get an idea like that with fast thinking.

And you sure as **** can’t get it from AI.

You need to do the thinking. Slow thinking.

But the payoff is huge. That’s why it’s OK to spend time on it.

We all need a mix of fast ideas and slow ideas.

But only the latter will alter the course of your destiny.

Your move.
