Your marketing is received by people as THEY are.
They might be busy.
They might be stressed.
They might be in lockdown.
They may have family issues.
They may have health issues.
Their boss could be driving them crazy.
This is the context in which they receive your marketing.
So when you create it you need to understand any or all of these things could be going on.
As soon as you recognise that a small switch flips in your brain. It’s the empathy switch.
You are one human communicating with another human. You don’t have to be super clever. You don’t have use impressive sounding big words. You don’t have to be super creative.
You just have to be human. After all the person on the receiving end is also human.
If the world needs anything right now in marketing it is more empathy and more human to human marketing.
