Marketers are afraid.
Afraid of offending someone.
Afraid of standing out.
Weird given that’s the job of marketing, standing out.
The best marketers and the dominant players in any industry do this instead.
Now I hate the term truth bombs but it illustrates my point.
When you tell the truth in your industry you instantly stand out because everyone else is talking ????.
You know it and I know it.
But what truth do you tell?
Talk about common industry practices that are bad for clients.
Talk about small flaws in your product because everything else you say will be more trusted.
Whatever the secrets are that need to be revealed, reveal them.
Fortune favours the brave but it also favours the marketer brave enough to tell the truth.
Will that be you?
