Write with your mouth.

No, I don’t mean place a pen in your mouth and attempt to write.

I mean speak your words out instead of typing them out.

Yesterday I did an interesting experiment. I was working on a free report about how to come up with big marketing ideas. But I was stuck. All I had was an outline of what I wanted to cover.

I looked at it numerous times but just couldn’t seem to think to type. So I thought why not try dictating it.

That’s what I did. I put my cursor under each heading and hit dictate to speak out the content.

It was really easy to do. Sure, there are a few wrong words and it will need editing. But in less than an hour I had 2,500 words for my short report.

I was blown away by how well it worked. The other interesting thing is that it sounds like me. Because it’s written how I talk. Like all great copy is.

So why not try writing with your mouth. You may also be surprised by how it well works. I’d love to hear how you find the experience.
