Nearly every business I buy from hates money.
 
Big statement but I’ll back it up.
 
Here’s just one example. Today I had my car serviced. The car is 10 years old. The dealer sells new cars.
 
Did they do anything at all to gauge my interest in buying a new car?
 
No.
 
How dumb. I may or may not be in the market for a new car. But it doesn’t hurt to politely enquire.
 
Here’s another more common example. Work hard to acquire a client and then forget to offer them more stuff they might like. I’ve
only found a few businesses that do this well and I’ve been buying stuff for decades.
 
Worse still most don’t even ask for my contact details. So how could they sell me more stuff? They can’t.
 
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
 
I can walk into any business and within 30 minutes find money hiding in plain sight. It’s a superpower of sorts. But really, I have
just trained myself to look and to think like a client.
